It’s not a new fact that essentials oils are extensively used in aromatherapy to alleviate many mental ailments including common stress, anxiety, dementia and other problems. The oils are now quite common as a stress reliever and anxiety remover, but you must know certain facts about these oils before you try it yourself.

Essential oils are not really oils because these do not contain
essential fatty acids. These oils are only used in aromatherapy because
it contains highly concentrated, small molecules of medicinal
ingredients which are need to be handled cautiously like any other
medicine.Having these medicinal values you can use it as massage oils.
• Scientific researchers have proved that rosemary essential oil positively enhance brain performance. However, since it directly enters into your brain limbic region passing blood-brain barrier it should be taken into serious account.
• Fragrance oils and essential oils are necessarily the same thing. Almost all essential oils have fragrance but it doesn’t mean all fragrance oils have medicinal property.
• Essentials oils are natural product and cannot be patented. So, you will never see essential oil as a brand company name attached to it and sell as a drug.
Therefore, most of the conventional medicine practitioners never recommend essential oils. This is also the reason pharmaceutical companies do not waste money on research.
• For one ounce of rose essential oil extraction, 60,000 roses are needed. Most of the essentials oils require huge amount of plants to get some juice.
• Do not use undiluted essential oils directly on skin.
• Aniseed, cedarwood, chamomile, cinnamon, clary sage, clove, ginger, jasmine, lemon, nutmeg, rosemary, sage and some other essential oils are strictly prohibited to use during pregnancy. Consult a good aroma therapist before using it for therapeutic use.
• Keep away all essentials oils from kids.
• Essential oils are not meant for ingestion.
• Store essential oils in dark glass bottle. Essential oils can last at least 5 years.
